Anime differs significantly from the animation found in the us today. Surfing around a video retail store in Japan, one will dsicover videos which range from classic like and unfaithfulness stories, to stories leading up to the apocalypse, and anything in between. Cartoons in america aimed even more at entertaining children with superheros thwarting criminals, and both prehistoric and highly advanced comedy. These kind of cartoons were never meant for anything besides entertainment having a small side of morality lessons placed in for good measure. While enjoyable, very rarely did cartoons in the United States create critical considering or inquiries about values amongst all their young visitors. In comparison, Astro Boy, when similar to super hero cartoons in the West, as well revolved surrounding the theme of the defining series between unnatural and man.
